A Little About Josh Ball
I’m the author of a book due out in 2017 about Trust in Leadership. I’m a leadership coach, consultant and writer who builds up leaders and the next generation. I have worked for public sector, government, non-profits, and a Fortune 100 company along the way.
As someone who is passionate about leadership, I have come to realize the number of problem areas in how we influence people. The topics and content I cover on this site are meant to add value to others, especially our next generation of leaders. I love working with Millennials and those who can be built from the foundation up.
My talks are engaging for all walks of life and anyone from the janitor to the CEO. The purpose of my talks is to send each person away with ideas to make positive changes immediately.

Leadership became a buzzword that replaced management styles. Relationships are the root of leadership, which is what leads to influence and trust. In this presentation, I share what it means to build trust, find influence, and lead with extraordinary impact. Leadership is about empowering, developing, and most importantly serving others to create the next gen of leaders.
When people speak of trust, they often think of the lack of trust in others. Trust is built with a lot of time and energy, but it is crucial for effective leadership. Building Trust is based upon my 18 principles that I call the Keys to Trust. Is everyone worthy of trust? Can anyone earn trust? How do we handle losing trust as a leader? In this presentation I share what Trust is and how we can leverage it to serve others through influence and development.
A lot of leaders focus on how they can develop their people. The fact of the matter is, the most important development strategy comes internally first. As Abe Lincoln is reported to have said, ““If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I’d spend six hours sharpening my ax.” Although our end goal is to develop others, we must be sharp ourselves to be worthy of developing others. They are entrusting us and our abilities. In this presentation I share strategies on personal development, including productivity, reading, education, knowledge, and practice.
Over the last decade, we have seen the rise of the Millennials. You may have heard many negative nicknames for them such as Generation Me, the reality is, they are committed to changing the world. Millennials will leverage any platform available to make a difference, use it. Everything Millennials do is different than you’re use to. That does not negate the way you do things, but it does open opportunities to talk about the future. In this presentation, I provide background on Millennials, the power of why, and how to leverage and engage this powerhouse generation. Millennials will account for 75% of the US workforce by 2025, get on board or get out of the way.
